“The difficulty of literature is not to write, but to write what you mean”

So today someone I consider as my little sister and a very close love one to me turned another year older. An age between being a teenager but on the boundary of being considered an adult, but throughout the  years I have known her, never did she lose the heart of being a kid. Someone I took everywhere with me, from doing the craziest things, the summer of 09’, getting matching piercings, from attending each others 8th grade graduation, and doing her hair and makeup. I’ve seen her at her greatest and been there with her through her falls, but with such maturity she too taught me lessons of her own and was there for me in return. Her ability to do amazing things for other people and offer good words of advice, made practically anyone feel special. Being able to see her grow up from her middle school years till now and her junior year in high school, was such a blessing, something I believe worth being part of. With everything we’ve been through as friends, having to be torn apart because of certain circumstances, we always remained the way we always said we would. We didn’t need to talk, hangout or be with each other everyday just to stay as close, something that was once regular but now so faint and hard to actually make happen. We made it out fine as great friends, when it could have been so easy just to lose it all. & now I’m here writing for another year, your 17th birthday…I know I wasn’t able to do something outrageous for you just like you do for everyone else but I just want to let you know that you are one special young lady, perfect in every way even though you might not see it. I know its a friends duty to say kind things that just make you melt and probably you would think is hella corny and full of bs  but yes you have flaws and imperfections which we all do, but never let that discourage you one bit. You have so many people that love you just the way you are from your faults and imperfections and wouldn’t have had you any other way than what you already are. God made you in his image and put you on this Earth for a purpose, a reason that he has allowed you another year and coming of age. May God bless you and may he give more birthdays to come. HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY BB! I love you :)
